Three New Studies!

We're beginning three new Bible study series:

The Book of Revelation --
on Sunday mornings at 10:00
Come study along with us as Pastor Adam shows us the structure of the book, and how it makes this sometimes puzzling book make sense.

"What Does the Bible Say About ________"
-- on Wednesday nights at 7:00
We've given Pastor Adam a long list of topics we'd like to discuss to find out what Scripture
has to say about them. We'll look at topics like forgiving others, abortion, burial practices,
and many other interesting topics.

Ladies' Bible Study - on Mondays at 2:30
We'll be starting a new book study
in the next few weeks,
Even Better Than Eden by Nancy Guthrie
We have such a great group of ladies
with great fellowship and excellent discussions. Please join us!

December Ladies' Lunch

The ladies decided to squeeze in a fun ladies' gathering and lunch before the Christmas season got us all too busy. Martha invited us to her relaxing home. The day was warm enough for us to all sit on the porch and enjoy Martha's soup and cheese biscuits, an assortment of salads, and Edna's light key lime pie.
I should've gotten a photo while everyone was still there, but I forgot! The afternoon was so perfect; we ladies sat on the porch and talked for two and a half hours. It's wonderful to have such close friends right in our own church.

Sixth Annual Thanksgiving Dinner!

Pastor Adam took the turkey from the refrigerator at 7:00 this morning and started cooking.

We had 25 hungry, happy people around our Thanksgiving table today. We had many visitors.

Because of the large crowd, we served most of the food buffet style.

Afterward, a few decided a competitive game of Skip-Bo was in order.

Pastor Adam always asks each person to stand and tell us what he or she is thankful for this year. After the hurricane, many at the table today had much to say, much to thank God for, so much gratitude for our community and the love and care given here. Many of us were in tears.
We're so thankful for our church family and for our friends from the community who also love our church. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Boxes Away!

It's nearly time for this year's batch of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to begin their journey across the world to bring children joy. Each box is accompanied with the message of God's love and the good news of salvation in Jesus. Our church loves doing this ministry each year.

We have 32 boxes so far and more to come in this week before they're delivered to the drop-off location in Havelock on Wednesday.
